student addressed the assembly in Maori with their Mihi. This was well
received by the audience as the children displayed confidence, excellent
pronunciation of Te Reo Maori and had learnt their Mihi to memory.
Room 2 also showcased their rainbow butterfly drawings, followed by the group rainbow mural, made by tearing coloured paper and gluing it onto a rainbow design. Mr Swann played his guitar and the Junior Syndicate performed some Kapa Haka songs.

Grace, Sean and Lena received Certificates during their first week of school, welcoming them to Room 2.

Elly received a Certificate for her smiley and happy disposition in class.
Mu Xian received a Certificate for the virtue of orderliness in her work.
Harry received a Certificate for his reading and progressing to the next
reading level.

Harrison received a Principal's Certificate for his enthusiastic approach
to learning.
